The tower hide was built in the 1950s and sits beside Wicken Lode, with Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve. It overlooks the mere, Verrals Fen, and the ancient Sedge Fen.
Wicken was the first nature reserve to be bought by the National Trust, coming into their care in 1899.
