Site of St Andrew's Church.
Marked with a 'blue' plaque.
Believed to have been consecrated in the 12th century, potentially on or nearby the site of an even older building. An Anglo-Saxon cemetery was discovered some 400 metres away.
It fell into disuse and was demolished in 1772. The white building was a girls' school which was built on the site in 1859 and closed in 1961.
